Welcome to my Web Services website.
This site is maintained by Dr Elwyn Jenkins and is a register of the various web services that can be obtained by anyone online. Web Services are sites that run a particular type of software that allows the users to do things like word processing, spreadsheet building, website building and more.
This list of web services, on this site, have all been tested and tried by Dr Jenkins and are recommended as sites that you can use without worrying too much about the security of your data.
Click on any of the services on the left-hand of this page and you will find a brief description of what the service is, how you can use the service and a little about the service so that you will be quite at home using the service as described.
A web service often takes the place of software you would usually run on your computer. Instead of running "Microsoft Office", or "Microsoft Word" you could possibly use the Google Docs and Spreadsheets service. Instead of buying software a service allows you to use "Software as a service".
